Commission disclosure

How we get paid — in writing, every time.

Vernova Finance Ltd t/a Asset Finance Co is an independent commercial finance brokerage, not a lender. We are an Appointed Representative of AFS Compliance Limited, which is Authorised and Regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority FRN: 625035. We are paid by commission from finance providers that we introduce. We do not charge customers a fee for our brokerage service, and the relevant commission basis is explained in writing before you decide whether to proceed.

Explained in writing

We explain the commission basis for the proposed agreement before you decide whether to proceed.

Broker, not lender

We introduce customers to finance providers and do not make the lender’s credit decision.

No customer brokerage fee

We do not charge customers a fee for our brokerage service. The provider pays commission when an introduced agreement completes.

Questions welcomed

Ask your broker to explain any commission, rate, fee, security or agreement term before you make a decision.

How to assess a proposal

Look beyond the monthly payment.

Commission is one part of the relationship between the broker and the provider. It should not replace a clear explanation of the finance structure or the customer’s own assessment of affordability. Before accepting, ask for the amount financed, deposit, payment schedule, rate or rental basis, arrangement and documentation fees, VAT treatment, total payable, ownership outcome, security and any balloon or residual obligation.

Different providers may offer different structures or criteria. We may discuss a route that appears suitable for the information available, but the provider makes its own decision and terms can change after assessment. A customer should not be encouraged to choose a product solely because it produces a lower initial payment.

Commission is not a recommendation that finance is suitable. Consider the business need, a cautious cash-flow forecast and the consequences of missed payments. Take accounting, tax or legal advice where appropriate.

How does Asset Finance Co get paid?+

Asset Finance Co is a trading style of Vernova Finance Ltd, an independent commercial finance brokerage and not a lender. We are paid commission by a finance provider when an introduced customer enters into a finance agreement that completes. We do not charge customers a fee for our brokerage service.

How much commission do you receive?+

The amount and basis can vary by provider, product, structure and deal size. The relevant basis for the proposed agreement is explained in writing before you decide whether to proceed. Ask for clarification if the wording is not clear.

Can commission affect the rate or structure?+

Commission arrangements can differ between providers and may be relevant to the pricing or structure available. That is why the overall proposal should be assessed using total payable, fees, VAT, payment profile, ownership and final obligations rather than a headline rate alone.

Can I see the commission before I sign?+

Yes. The relevant commission basis and agreement terms are set out in the formal documentation for the proposed transaction. You can ask your broker to explain the wording before signing or accepting.

Do you receive commission if I do not proceed?+

The brokerage commission described here is linked to an introduced finance agreement completing. No finance outcome is guaranteed, and a customer is free to decide not to proceed after reviewing the terms.

Can I use another broker or contact a lender directly?+

You are free to make your own decisions. Our role is to help clarify the requirement and introduce suitable provider routes within the scope of our brokerage service; it does not remove your responsibility to compare and understand the agreement.
